Getting started
Jayde practises out of a clinic at 1/13 Alvan St, Mount Lawley WA 6050, and also offers online Telehealth sessions across Australia.
Jayde sees adults and young people 14+. If you’re not sure whether this is the right fit, Jayde is happy to chat it through first.
No referral is needed. You’re welcome to contact Jayde directly to ask questions or arrange a time.
Contact Jayde to book your first session. Jayde will offer available times (in person or Telehealth), answer practical questions, and help you choose a starting point. If JL Therapy isn’t the best match, she’ll do her best to suggest next steps.
In your first session, you will spend time getting to know each other and understanding your current challenges and goals. The session will focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you can openly explore thoughts, feelings and experiences. You will work collaboratively to identify goals and discuss a plan for therapy moving forward.
Sessions & approach
Sessions run for 50 minutes. The number and frequency vary from person to person. You’ll decide this together and check in regularly to see what’s helping and whether to adjust the plan.
Jayde takes a strength-based, person-centred approach to therapy drawing on a range of modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and solution focused therapy. Psychoeducation to explore how the mind and body works is often incorporated, and her approach is tailored to suit your individual needs.
Telehealth sessions happen via a secure video platform and follow the same structure as in-person appointments. Before your first online session, Jayde can share easy setup tips (finding a private spot, testing audio/video, what to do if the connection drops) so you feel prepared.
Practicalities & safety
Please contact Jayde for current fees. She’ll walk you through the rate, available times, and any practical considerations so there are no surprises.
